I have an APP on my IPhone. it's OSHA HEAT TOOL.

It's free to download and would help everyone in the construction field, gardeners, teachers, coaches and anyone working outside for long periods of time. Or working in HOT, non ventilated buildings, such as warehouses.

If you have a Smart phone, Please download it.

Besides drinking PLENTY OF WATER, (No Gatorade or Powerade) if you're outside more than 1 hour a day. Please pour cold water on the back of your neck, on the inside of your elbows and wrist. An ice pack in those location will work too. It's the fastest way to bring your temperature down.

In construction & according to OSHA standards and regulations. You must take extra breaks (we call them "cool down" breaks, 15 minutes every 2 hours. We have always a few misting fan at varies location, to cool everyone off.

If you get dizzy or lite head....inform someone & cool off in front of the fans.

A Foreman or Supervisor  would call the safety director and take you to the health trailer.

This is just the bases....there's a whole list of things to do to prevent and to handle every situation that may arise!
